Golnik Named Plymouth Volunteer of the Year

Keith Golnik is this year’s recipient of the Plymouth Volunteer of the Year award. Keith is very civic minded and has served this town most recently as commander of the American Legion. He’s also been a member of; the Fire Commission, Historical Society, Police Commission, and other town ad hoc committees. Golnik was also chairman of the RTC for three terms. He’s always willing to help anyone or group when needed. His name will be added to the Volunteer of the Year plaque at Plymouth Town Hall. This is an opportunity to honor a local citizen for the contributions he/ she has made to our town. The Republican Town Committee has sponsored this awardfor more than 35 years. Nominations are made by the citizens of Plymouth and submitted to the RTC. The chosen volunteer usually has been involved in many townwide committees, town projects, clubs and organizations and doesn’t have to be affiliated with the Republican Party. This year we will celebrate Keith Golnik’s accomplishments with a picnic at the American Legion on Sunday, Sept. 11 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Admission is $10 per person The public is invited.
