Lichfield Public Schools Regional School District No. 6

Dear RSD6 Community,
August greetings. What an amazing summer. Over 200 students participated in SummerFest and Extended School Year. Thank you to all the staff that made this possible. It has been a busy summer across both districts with capital projects, and day-today preparations for the return of our students. Additional thanks to our facilities and technology staff who have worked tirelessly to prepare across all buildings. Back to School 2022! In just a few weeks we will begin the 2022-2023 school year. A reminder that the first day of school is Aug. 29 and that the first two days will remain as phase-in days with half-day schedules. This has been very beneficial to our students over the past two years and will continue this year. As always, more information will be forthcoming from your student’s school in the coming weeks. We expect that transportation routes will be released the week of Aug. 15 but
it is never too late to consider a transportation waiver if your student will not be riding the school bus. A copy of the waiver can be found at: https://coredocs.s3.amazonaws.com/documents/asset/uploaded_file/1951/LPS_and_RSD6/2167167/2022-2023_RSD6_-_Student_Transportation_Waiver.pdf Region 20 Update The new Region 20 school board held its first meeting Aug. 1 at the Litchfield Community Center. The members of the board are shown in the chart below. In closing, I look forward to welcoming back all students later this month. As we look to the new year, I am excited in joining all as we define the future and build greatness.
Best wishes,
Chris
