The program will provide coaches, at all levels of sports, with the tools to be more intentional and effective leaders for their athletes and teams. With each passing year, athletic coaches are asked to take on increased leadership responsibilities for their athletes and team. However, they don’t always have the opportunity
to receive the necessary coach-related leadership education and training that would provide them with the knowledge
and tools required to effectively coach the team, manage the athletes and parents, and deal with any unexpected conflicts or tensions that arise during the season. This talk is designed specifically for athletic coaches to provide them with foundational leadership knowledge and teach them techniques they can use to practice the best leadership style and behaviors that align with their personal values and beliefs. During this program, Dr. Raidbard will give an introduction to leadership practice, and discuss the importance of coaches viewing themselves as leaders and making intentional leadership choices. Matthew Raidbard has been a men’s college basketball coach and senior level college athletics administrator for the past 15 years. He holds a Doctorate in Educational
Leadership. Registration: 860-567-7440 or https://morrispubliclibrary.net/library-calendar-event-registration/Reincarnation: Don’t make the same mistakes twice! With metaphysical author and medium Sydney Sherman, Morris Public Library via Zoom, Tuesday, September 13, 6:30 p.m. Weird dreams? Strange memories? Feeling like you have been somewhere before? Fascinated with a period of time in history? Maybe it is Déjà Vu? Or MAYBE you have lived before…many many times…in a different time…and in a different place. Since the beginning of time, people
have questioned the validity of reincarnation. Scientists, philosophers and religious scholars have all studied the possibilities of an alternate life that transcends the “One Body” – “One Life” Philosophy. Up until 20 years ago, the thought that we could “live again” in another body, time or place, was considered nonsense, but now science has found a plausible explanation and possibly the evidence needed to support this theory. Sydney Sherman is a metaphysical author, Reiki Master and aura consultant residing in Madison, CT. Sydney specializes in Thanatology, the study of life after death and the death and dying experience. Her books are You Are Not Alone: Our Loved Ones Are Here…You’re Just Not Listening; Gifted Innocence: A Parents’ Guide for Spiritually Gifted Children.
